The only thing I can think of for Dark Academy in a New Game run is getting the Winged Boots, maybe the Mercury Boots before those, although I can't remember where you get them. The NG / NG+ differences are pretty heavy, is sub-1h even possible?

to save some time at 13'th street you can use a jumping critical attack on the train with a spear. you go over it. someone here told me how to do it.

Yeah, I did that.

Routes look about right. :o

You can put the route & maps on the site if you want. :P

here's what i got so far for the bosses.

Dullahan: just as Persona said, Leather Whip and Rock Riot
Astarte: backdash spam Darts
Legion: Tempest and Nebula, possibly darts
Death: charged Ice Needle and bds Dart
Sisters: duh
Richter: pies
Mummy: bds dart and/or VK special
Drac: VK special and Spirit of Light

everyone else i'm not sure. for the later bosses i'd assume a combination of VK special and Spirit of Light. Dagon is a whole nother story. i've heard that jump kicking with the Spiked Boots works, but I prefer Darts and Spirit of Light.

Update on Magical Tickets:

- Save at least once
- Visit Vincent at least once

I honestly don't know the point of saving once, MTs have nothing to do with suspending the game, but oh well.

these really helped me out. thankfully, skeletons and gunmen are easy to get. if so, i could probably not get tempest at all. axe bomber seems worth getting now, seeing how much time it saves on Stella. maybe on Astarte as well.

bit of a necrobump here. still playing around trying some things. rock riot might not be worth getting if summon skeleton proves effective on Dullahan.

axe bomber is a must. i can't beat Stella quickly enough without it. plus it could speed up Astarte and Legion a little. this'll require another trip to Vincent though. also i'd wait until after Forest of Doom to get Tempest. Spiked Boots are the best way to go for Dagon on this route.

finally, i want to look into fighting Richter with Jet Black Whip. Forgotten City can be done without the VK, and the moon jump saves some time in Burnt Paradise. so after those, warp to Vincent and restock, beat Richter, then do the other two stages. gotta try it out.

oh, one more thing. screw the Nebula. as good a weapon it is, it only saves time on Legion.

whoops. didn't realize that Dark Academy had to be done before Burnt Paradise until just now. Cream Pies are back in. also i want to see if Meteor is worth getting.

Heh. I just skipped Owl Morph in a New Game using the Knee Strike glitch. In the Griffon Wing room, stand on the left edge of the lower falcon-shaped platform. Jump with Charlotte and activate Knee Strike. While Jonathan is floating to the left, use the second jump to follow him, just far enough to keep him on screen. As soon as you see him standing in the small gap, switch characters.

Time to update the Knee Strike section! :o

sounds complicated. i always just used partner jump glitch to get griffon wing.

It's actually really simple and probably faster. I don't even know how to get up there with the partner jump glitch; I can't pull off those quadruple jumps consistently, and if I do, it's more like a tiny hop that doesn't get me anywhere. :/

i can't seem to get Jon to actually land in the gap, so i have to jump at the end of it. either way, it is quicker.

Regarding Alhazard's vid: He doesn't have Konami Man, does he?

whats Konami Man?

I don't think Konami Man works in Boss Rush. Or am i wrong?

I just tried it, you are right, it doesn't. :/ Weird. It works with Jonathan, so I don't see why it doesn't work with a glitched OAA file. What about Max Ups? Doesn't he have more HP than you can get from the Max Ups in a OAA game? Maybe I'm just seeing things ... >_>
