You can push Drac's wings back with just Jon & VK, and I don't see much use for Axe otherwise.

Also, lol. :P

You might want to get Summon Gunman before Legion, he goes down in no time with it. Maybe even while activating the NoF warp so you can use it as backup during the Astarte fight.

i'll put that in. i'm trying to concentrate on DoS right now, so the route won't see much change from me.

2nd attempt: 01:26:14

Do not underestimate Darts. They OBLITERATE The Creature and Werewolf. I don't know it exactly, but those two fights took 20-30 seconds at most, paired with Dark Rift for The Creature, of course. I even used them on Brauner, and that might be even faster than VK special. As for reliable ways to push True Drac's wings back, Tempest is the way to go.

I think it's about time we start making the PoR speedrun guide complete. Routes is pretty much solid already, just needs a bit of tuning up for why this and that is needed (indepth). Guess I'll show an example:

City of Haze

-get summon skeleton (for?)
-get cream pie and food (for?)
-get Claymore (why?)
-equip Leather Whip (when?)
-Defeat Dullahan (tactics?)
-Get Moonwalkers (for?)

I'll start the run to fill in extra info.

Might want to link the glitches to their respective pages, as well as certain techniques like BDS (imo, those need revision, anyway). Need suggestions for refined NG+ boss tactics, aside from "spam Illusion Fist" :P, and feedback on possible mistakes etc.

I don't think you have to include when to equip what, it's kinda obvious that you replace your current weapon with the better one once you get it.

Which enemies do you get the remaining Cream Pie SP from?

Dullahan and Legion give the Cream Pie 90 SP. the remaining ten i got on the first two Hill Guards, the Glasya Labolas, the batch of enemies in the first room of the tower, and possibly the Hill Guard right after.

to answer Persona's questions, Summon Skeleton is for Dullahan. the food is right next to the Cream Pie, so it doesn't hurt to get it. equip Leather Whip right when you get it. the Claymore and Moonwalkers are for selling.

Tested the new NG+ route, wasn't even a true speedrun, since I saved before bosses to test strategies, but I got 31:42 nevertheless, so sub-30 is definitely possible with Magical Tickets.

New time: 30:48, SS this time. Probably 1-2 minutes of mistakes, Loretta decided to interrupt my Sanctuary, but it was okay overall. Still need a better Dagon strategy.

Entrance

-Get Change Cube
-Get Call Cube
-Get Tome of Arms 1
-Get Wait Cube (make sure to let Jonathan push since he pushes faster than Charlotte)
-Get Summon Skeleton (needed for Dullahan)
-Activate Entrance warp
-Save in Vincent room
-Buy Castle Map and Dart
-Activate Quest from Wind AND complete it at the same time (gain Lizard Tail)

City of Haze
-Get Leather Whip
-Get Cream Pie
-Defeat Dullahan (details later)

Note: Using Jonathan as backup instead of Charlotte seems to benefit more since Jonathan's whip hits from a distance and the AI is pretty stupid when it comes to hit detection.

Anything I'm missing so far? Also wondering if it's worth getting the Short Sword or not, simply because its only use I've noticed so far is for defeating Andras faster. Reason I got Tome of Arms 1 is because of its reach and Charlotte is better off leading while Jonathan stays back and whips. Short Sword is simply a few seconds of reach from Tome of Arms 1. As for Dullahan, same exact strat as the video? As in surround him.

Are you splitting it up in segments already?

For Dullahan or in general?

Does Charlie really need any weapons? I don't remember using her for anything but spellcasting.

Just take the damage and walk through him.

He dies after 3-4 fully charged Summon Skeleton spells anyway, and if you save before him, you can just manipulate him to do the lance forward thrust, which won't interrupt you at all.

yeah there's no reason for Short Sword and Tome 1. Raging Fire is enough for Cha.

one other speed trick. during the Behemoth chase, break the columns with punches.

He goes the same seppd anyway. You'll just reach the door and stand there waiting for him. But do stand in front of him and he'll knock you through the pass real quick.

It's about breaking the first two columns faster, since the Behemoth trigger is in front of the third one.
