Take the series' latest entry, PoR, and tell us what you think has been changed for the worse, if you liked a certain element from a prior game better, ... or just bash all the new features to death. :o


- Black Panther > Speed Up
- (SP) BR records table not separated by characters
- No Final Sword with naked dude on it :/

Speed up could hav been better. And earlier aquired.

Jon's and Char's menu's should have been different colors.

Final boss could have been hard.

am i missing something here?

i agree speed up culd be better(like once you cast it it doesnt wear off)
the maps were small and there were alot of them 2 big maps work better
storyline(along with many other things) seems kinda rushed

i like alot of the new gameplay features such as two characters the way u control them and many spells subweps and weps

I mean, comparred to Soma's arsenal there weren't enough for me :P

No kidding, drac in this game was pathetic. I belive brauner was harder, and the entire first play through, I never used the VK. I could beat him at level 38 no VK.

I wanted another circle drac, or at least one challenging.

The PoR Final Guard drops the sword from the DoS Final Guard.

As for Drac, I think he's the hardest 2D Metroidvania end boss so far.

That would be cotm drac, with his attacks dealing insane damage and some of them being unavoidable, like the yellow bat attack or the second form's pretty hard to predict meteor rain. Por drac was patheticaly easy compared to him.

Anyway:

- Give the alt modes menus damnit! Stupid iga team. I have to unlock the menus for them using hacking.
- Make the alt modes more than what they were. Dos J mode was a nice attempt, so I dunno why por's was worse than the previous games. The sisters mode lacked any sort of gameplay or challenge, as well as a final boss. :(
- Boss rush in all the 2d games stinks compared to the 3d ones. Why can't they do it right, with the boss rooms being where you fought those bosses, with the music you had for the bosses, with the final boss on the and and without you being ridiculously overpowered?
- Dracula in all the 2d games stinks compared to the cod one. Why can't he finally learn new attacks? He's still using the same shit since rondo, only changed the patterns and stole demitri's bat attack from darkstalkers. :|

I think when they use the same enemy sprites, they shouldn't change the enemy's name.
Why do they do that?

I agree with what Persona (all hail) has said multiple times about the game feeling rushed. However, I feel that I have found proof that it was rushed. I'm kinda surprised nobody has said anything about it yet, but I'm sure there are other people that have seen it. Charlotte's name is spelled incorrectly in her 'equip' menu. When the game's makers fail to spell a main character's name right, especially in a menu where you see it often, you know they were in a bit of a hurry

Also, for my main disappointments, I wish there were still katanas to cancel-spam, and the final boss could have been tougher. I also wish that Richter mode would have had an option to collect hearts like in older CV games. Having a regenerating energy bar with Richter doesn't feel right. :?

Blame sotn. It was sotn that changed the names into stuff they came up with, they were supposed to be originally like they are in por.

oh thats who that second guy is... and simon is either the castlevania 1 simon or the super castlevania 4 simon it changes almost every time
