Just like the other suspend glitch, you can only suspend on the 1st, 5th or 9th, (etc) map screens...and you must be on part of the map that has rooms.

Also, I just noticed what Serio said...it just puts you 2 rooms to the right, so it should work on any doorway with a small room to the right.

edit: Yea a succubus glitch for PoR!! Thank you, Haibara! What country do you live in?

Ah, got it now. As for beating Dracula, just do it on a NG+.

Yeah, i did it on a NG+...but then i looked to see how low my % was, and it said 1000%:( So it's kinda pointless to do a LOW % run on a NG+
...unless there's a way to make a NG+ without keeping the map rate?

I don't think there is. There may be a way to glitch like the OAA trick though.

Thanks for everyone, I'm not the first one who discover the glitch.
I'm from China.

What's the record for a speed run? Last night I got to Dracula's room in 8 minutes and 34 seconds, with about 58% map rate (for the entire game) no portraits!! It was not a NG+ so I died about 10 seconds after the fight started...1 hit!! How are you supposed to beat Dracula at lvl. 1?

Currently known records:

New Game :

01:08:xx by Satoryu

New Game+ :

00:28:44 by Serris

Both w/o suspending glitch.

You could try getting a Final Sword drop, for example.

For the new game+ time, did you just subtract the time from the previous game? When i did a NG+ it kept the time and % of the previous game.

Should there be a third catagory for speed runs?
NG
NG+
Suspend glitch

You can pull the suspend glitch at the first available save point, but you have to go get the lizard tail relic first.

I saved at 28:00:00, copied the file to another slot and started a NG+. I pressed Start after the final hit on True Drac and the time was 28:28:44.

J/C any% categories are

NG
NG w/ suspend glitch
NG+
NG+ w/ suspend glitch

so far.

Which one?

:o

Also, suspending in the doorway of the warp next to the FoD doorway respawns you on the right side of the warp on the other side of the wall, and you'll fall down instead of sliding up.

The save point right after the behemoth chase, is where I did it. But I went to do the first quest, then came back there.

So, what do you need Lizard Tail for? Also, how do you get from said save point to The Throne Room?

If you do the suspend in the doorway, you will re-load 2 rooms to the right. If there is no room there, you will be outside; warping. You need the lizard tail to slide while you are warping.

If you do the suspend glitch at the first spot that meets that criteria (1st save point?) then you can warp-slide all the way over to the throne room and suspend again. But just like the other suspend glitch, you must be in the room you want to get to AND on the 1st, 5th, 9th, etc screen.

It took me about 3 minutes to get the lizard tail and get back to the 1st save room; about 5 minutes to slide over to the warp room; and about 30 seconds to get to the nearest save room. The only problem was; without double jump I couldn't get back into the Throne room area...so it took me another 4 minutes to go grab the dbl. jump cube and get back to the save point.
Then it took me about 30 seconds to die when fighting drac:(

So, from what I understand, sliding wastes quite a lot of time, right? Check the J/C speedrun topic.
