I recall reading about records and strategies a while ago on GameFAQs (mostly involving effective ways to create slowdown), but that topic seems to be dead now. What's the best way to utilize slowdown? J/J, C/C, or J/C? Equipment? Is there any way to disable relics?

If I recall(it's been a while) In the main game if you turn off relics h=they stay offin boss rush. I don't abou single player but it works in wii-fi.

Neither turning them off nor not having them (fresh NG+) works. It's a weird setup anyway; They give you Griffon Wing (pretty much useless and destroys BDS usage), but not Whip Skill 1.

I never use Whip skills anywayI rarely use whips.
I like the Assassin Blade.
It's not the best, but it gets the job done.

Whip Skill 1 was just an example of Konami giving you Griffon Wing but not something basic like WS1.

The best way to get a fast time on Boss Rush is to use the 'Axegasm' (for lack of a better word), isn't it? Having two people use the Axe Subweapon and then using a Critical at the same time makes the subweapon hit 27 times I think. That is how people get times of like 11.xx. J/J is the best for online Boss Rush, that is for sure. It is much easier online, but it works for offline boss rush but is quite a bit harder from what I have heard.

You heard correctly though no there's no critical about it,. Atleast unless they foubnd a way. I was there when the axegasm was founded. From what I recall it was mere luck tghat the axe would hit the right place and ruin Balore's shit. It may have been improved upon.

I am pretty sure that there is a critical to it. The way to make it work is get a critical with the VK as the ax hits, but it has to be exact. I am almost positive that this is how to do it, but it is much easier online than in game because of lag and there are two people doing it I reckon.

It's fairly easy, actually, just have both Jons throw axes at the same time, then start spamming VK special when they hit. Got 00:18:35 after a couple of tries. Does anyone know the WR?
