Every time I visit the GameFAQs PoR boards, I stumble across at least five topics about this. It doesn't seem like the suspend glitch is very well-known, so how about a CVE page for this particular use people can link to? Better yet, create a topic over at GameFAQs containing the link and get it stickied. Easy way to promote the site.

Unless I'm missing something, this should be the best way to reach the elevator switch without sequence breaking stuff (considering the target audience is most likely on their first playthrough):

1) Save the game.

2) From the left, go as far into the doorway marked with yellow as you can without actually entering the next room (use Jonathan for this). If done correctly, you shouldn't be able to see any of his face and very little of his head.

3) Make sure the top screen is showing the map. Enter the menu and suspend the game.

4) Select the skull icon next to your file and press Start to enter the menu immediately. Look at the map. If done correctly, the cursor will be sliding up the map along the yellow line when you unpause. Keep pausing and unpausing until the cursor is in the spot marked with green.

5) Suspend and load the game. If done correctly, you will reappear in a room near the spot you suspended in. Depending on where you are, make your way to either of the spots marked with red.

6) From the left, go as far into the doorway marked with red as you can without actually entering the next room (use Jonathan for this). If done correctly, you shouldn't be able to see any of his face and very little of his head.

7) Suspend and load the game. If done correctly, you will reappear in the spot marked with blue, between the Death boss door (DO NOT ENTER) and the elevator switch. Hit the switch to activate the elevator and ride it down to Master's Keep. Check the map to find the save room nearby and save. Congratulations, you have overcome the Death glitch dead end!

There are two red dots because I haven't yet managed to reappear in the same room every time, but it's pretty much either the room with the Wyvern or the corridor with lots of Succubi. Also, someone with proper equipment could make a video.

Perhaps, one of the best applications of the suspend glitch. However, the first and main use of the suspend glitch was to skip almost the entire game....in which case you wouldn't even encounter Death at all.

In any case, I don't know why you decided to go way down to the bottom of the map to do the SG, when you can do it at the save room right before the green jelly monster (can't remember name) and then suspend anywhere in the throne room---and end up with the same effect.

btw: the SG works for charlotte, too!
