Thanks for your tips, I think I can do some of that stuff to just knock the enemies back, without killing them.

I once managed to beat the game with only 4 kills. The 3 first monsters and Menace. Other than that I never even hit any other enemy. It was tough, even with my best armor on I had to use tons of healing items and return to hammer to restock often, especially in the abyss. :P

Chaos ring and final guard saved my life many times.

Ahh, Final Guard! That's what I need to use...thanks Serio!!

I wish there was a way to skip the first 3 kills, but even with the SG; all you can do is fly around above that area...with no way to skip it.

An interesting side note: The area above the opening scene is actually a maze-like structure (like ones found in a few other parts of the game) but since there is no map screen; it's nearly impossible to navigate.
