hmm, i'm not entirely sure if these tricks are SDA legal. they might be considered out of bounds, they may not. it looks like one of those case by case decisions.

no matter, as i won't be doing another DS run until there's better equipment available. and i don't feel like redoing the map unless there's one out there with the Abyss on it.

There seems to be some kind of misunderstanding here. All you do is jump across gaps with Flying Armor and use the horizontal movement of the Succubus glitch along the yellow line to get past the one in the picture. Ignore Soma.

whoops. i thought you meant get below the ledge and AxeSG up.

still, i'm not 100% sure on AxeSGing to behind the drawbridge. it probably is allowed, but you never know.

Yeah, that's what it said first, you just missed the edit.

About your SG doubts, if you're going to do a SG run, I'd say stuff like the drawbridge AxeSG is actually pretty harmless compared to SGing through boss doors / walls. You don't even leave the room, you just go through the wall / ceiling and stop the Axe special animation in mid-air, which makes perfect sense and is neither OoB nor mysterious warping. If anything, SDA would be more likely to outright ban SG, so I don't think you have to worry about that.

Of course, you would first have to do another NG run that lives up to SDA's quality standards. :/

Well, it's obsolete now anyway. I made it past the drawbridge without draining the moat. Get Flying Armor, stand on the edge of the ledge in front of the drawbridge, do AxeSG, and use the after-SG mid-air jump in conjunction with Flying Armor to fly over the bridge. It's easier to keep Flying Armor activated the entire time, and the mid-air jump must be executed at the exact right time for maximum height.

Need some feedback on Ukoback + Werewolf / Valkyrie usage.
