I'd probably waste my money on this game AND a PSP to be able to play it if they give SotN a NG+ option. Otherwise, no. I don't know what's so special about RoB gameplay-wise, the 3D remake gives me nightmares about Konami going "Hey, let's make all future handheld CVs 2,5D!", and the PSP's D-Pad looks just as awful as the PSX's.

now wait just a second there. the PSX pad is one of the best pads ever designed, definitely better controllers than the nonsense Nintendo comes up with. especially the baby-sized d-pad for the gamecube.

and while you do not appreciate the elements RoB introduced and it's charm and awesomeness, expecting a New Game + mode for SOTN is ridiculous.

too foolish to even consider since people can already get overpowered really quick that what SOTN really needs is a level cap option, hard modes,

not a mode where you can carry over your levels and items and basically walk through every room cleaning house. that isn't fun, that's just a child's idea of entertainment.

but with power and no challenge = boredom.

the PS1 pad has no problems. the PSP pad does. try doing a Hadoken on that thing.

also, how will SotN work with one less button? they'd have to change the input for one of the transformations. and spells will be impossible without the analog stick.

and how dare you say Nintendo can't do d-pads. the Gamecube one sucked, everyone knows that. but all others are just fine, if not perfect.

i see nothing wrong with any of nintendos controls even the gamecube one i infact liked it
and although i dont expect either sotn would be better with NG+ and hard mode and the level cap thing from por was cool but they should have included a level 99 hard mode cap to...

and also...

KONAMI! WHY!?!? WHY THE PSP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????
I DESPISE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND NOW I MUST GET ONE FOR SOTN AND RONDO OF BLOOD AND ROB REMAKE!!!!????!!!???
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to many exclamation marks and question marks?

yes

and i am now sick and tired of this whining about PSP. either way, everyone wins in this situation now. PSP owners finally have a CV game that doesn't require homebrew. PS3 owners are getting one of the 1999 games. DS owners are more likely getting the other 1999 game. SCIV is on Virtual Console. SotN is on XBLA. and then there are the games already out, which people play to this day. if you're going to whine that this game is on PSP, either get one yourself or shut up. go to gamefaqs if you want to bitch about it.

well back to the 1999 games, I guess PS3 is getting one of them.

but anyway maybe Rondo remake is an experiment to try out 2.5D technology.

cause if you ever played Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria from beginning to end, you can witness a sample at how GORGEOUS and awesome 2.5D sidescrolling gameplay can be.

but yeah Ill always be a fan of SOTN-style sprites and enviornments. I wouldn't even care if the 1999 games use the same sprites and some locations from SOTN and stuff.

but I guess since the 1999 games are the last battle with Dracula. I suppose we will see these things:

*a younger version of Julius Belmont

*return of Alucard

*perhaps a Belnades-type character

you know I have a feeling if the other 1999 game goes to a portable system, then that version will be 2-D while the PS3 version will end up being full 3-D maybe or 2.5D.

I dunno due to the ignorant mainstream gamers demands for console games to push the limit and set the bar high for graphics, this causes companies to be reluctant to sell a 2-D game on today's consoles unless it's through a retro-gimmick like XBLA or VC.

I mean I love CoD but CV games are best in 2-D.

but I mean Konami should look at the Guilty Gear series and stuff like that, even these days there are popular 2-D console games

and it goes to show how much potential consoles can provide for 2-D games that portables can never provide, visual and gameplay and content size.

well they probably wont show the 1999 games until the summer or something.

What about Morris Baldwin?
In CotM Dracula says he once banished him.
Should there be a game for him?
o.o

News is out. 2 games. One for DS and one for XBox 360 (maybe ported to PS3 later).

A bit different from the news I got months ago (DS and PS3).
