Nathan is at level 25 if you play USA version, it's level 27 in Japanese version.

Well, I've done a 100% map-rate speedrun: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.ph ... viewresult
It was submitted for a month, but they did nothing for it, not accepted or rejected...maybe they don't like a run with special goal. But I think the run is not bad.

i thought that run was very very good. masterful use of glitches. Battle Arena was easily the highlight of the entire thing.

but yeah, TASvideos is kinda divided on the issue of 100% map. but it still has 85% confidence, so it'll really depend on the higher ups.

personally, i would have rather seen this speedrun done on Magician mode in the hopes of someone doing a Fighter mode speedrun in the future.

agreed. my favorite parts were the Carmilla and Hugh fights. messing with Hugh's AI was awesome, as was the luck on the second phase. and its always fun to bone Carmilla.

Glad you guys enjoyed the run. After rewatching my run, it really feels like I'm watching a Sonic speedrun. :P

As for Haibara's CotM TAS, I liked it, mainly due to the awesome route planning. I'm guessing TAS videos didn't like it mainly because TAS are made to be entertaining which a 100% run is quite lacking in. But from a normal speedrunner's point of view, this TAS is awesome for studying routes and tactics. I also never understood why people compare CV 100%s to Metroid 100%s. CV shows progress through map percentage while Metroid shows progress through item percentage. Getting items in CV to be counted as 100% don't really appeal to me.

I'll gladly host Haibara's 100% TAS, but I would need Haibara to make a commentary and explain all the stuff being done in the video so viewers will understand what's going on.

I'm glad you enjoy it. :)

I'm a little disappoint that TASvideos has rejected the run. But I'm not sad, it's just a game.

I'll explain these glitches when I have time. Thanks. :P

they rejected it? aw, that's a shame.

you think it would a better chance of being accepted if it were on Magician mode?

Awesome run, Haibara. First time I've seen that "stone glitch" you used in Waterway. Battle Arena was great, of course, shinning performance indeed. Also, good to finally see Gallery and Warehouse in a run, skipping Cleansing really is way too easy, not even worth being called a sequence break. You really killed two dragons with one bone there. :p

Has anyone managed to enter Waterway through the backdoor in real-time?

Btw, Persona, I'd like to read some commentary on your run, too. :) Also, the run page says 21m 50s instead of 20m 50s.

I did it on my DS Lite, but it was a real hassle due to the D Pad. one of these days i'll try it on Game Boy Player with my HORI pad. should be easier with that.

May not, their reason: I feel that map percentage is not a good goal for this game. Watching you enter and then immediately exit areas, and taking big detours without collecting anything does not feel right. The extra bosses and glitches are a plus, but most of the time this movie is endless running through corridors. Rejected.
To be honest, it's just a bit dull for non-CV fans. After all, that's not a CV forum.

I can do it in real time if MP is much enough, it's not difficult. :)
