Using the power of sire on Maria will turn the weapon into a mega-power of sire, with huge yellow energy balls. Unfortunately, this graphical effect doesn't make the power of sire do more damage; and it goes away after you exit the game. Also, it has to be equipped to the left hand (circle). It's also an easier way to knock Maria out of her room.
