turns out those 3 pics weren't fake after all.

so we finally have a female lead. unsure if she's a Belmont or otherwise, though. if she is, she isn't restricted to the Vampire Killer.

Excellent. Kinda funny that the Blackula and dialog screenshots are so similar to the leaked ones.

Looks average to me so far. I just hope it doesn't turn into another recycling game. :(

so, we're getting the batman searchlight title screen after all, unless they saw the edit and fired the designer. :P

also some info that everyone claims came from them/their site/some random other one
Quote:
the protagonist (Shanoa? no idea how to romanize it) belongs to the Order of Ecclesia, which is dedicated to fighting Dracula. The Order raised her as a weapon against Dracula. She can use holy sword, holy whip and some technique called Grief (again, this might not be the proper romanization).

also chanoix goddamit. take that weeaboo name away. :P :o

i doubt she's a belmont though.

I'm wondering what the 2 player thingy can be since the game seems to look like it's having only one lead. :P

Since she's a "weapon", I guess that explains the "Dominus" inside her body.

Also since it seems you can go out of the castle, I wonder if it'll be like PoR with warps and such while being in a castle or will it be like CoD where each map is connected to each other.

And judging from the awesome artwork, Holy Lance. Or better yet, the Spear of Longinus!

Well, the first pics were leaked because the translator sought help on GameFAQs. What did you expect? :p

The thing about CV games is the lack of lastability. Once you play it once there isnt much you can do, unless im mistaken?

well the ones that allow backtracking (like Simon's Quest and the SOTN
types), have more replay value than the others.

since here and there I read hints that this game may borrow some
CVII elements besides the different types of outdoor enviornments,
maybe at least one town with npcs we can talk to will return as well?

That could lead to many interesting plot details and secrets.

not if you're a speedrunner.

even without that, CVs are the kind of games that i can pick up anytime and beat if i'm bored. same goes for Mega Man and Sonic.

That depends highly on how you like to play your games. As mentioned before, speedrunning is an option. Personally, I found myself playing through Dawn of Sorrow several times with different restrictions and play styles. For instance I played through the game once using only the Handgun and Silver gun as my weapons, which added more intense moments as the boss battles would go on for longer periods of time and would be a lot more about dodging attacks. Low level games, while fun, were pretty hard to pull off in that game, sadly. PoR did better with level caps for hard mode, though, so that's good.

Thats true, it does depend on how you like to play your games, but how many of the majority like to speedruns or do restrictions? I myself like to superplay games so i know how it is but alot of casual gamers would play it once and thats about it. Some like it purely for story, then other like it for the character / gameplay based. All im saying is that majority of the players are the ones that dont get creative with the game once its done, so hopefully there will be options to change that within the game itself.
