in case you didnt read my post in another topic (anyways this news is TOO HUGE to contain in a more generalized topic)

Great news! Dracula X Chronicles (starring Rondo of Blood) is coming to PSP! :D  :D

I dont like portables but a PSP is definitely better than a DS.

http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3156904

it packs the original Rondo, a 3-D Rondo, and SOTN.

personally this package would've been perfect on a PS2,
but meh any modern system is a better choice to release a game than on a DS or Wii. :)

Rondo of Blood is finally coming to the US without having to import or pirate.

Yeah all three games are on it. :)

Dunno why people seem to bash the PSP. IMO it's a good handheld. May not be the best when it comes to the list of games, but it can do a lot of other good stuff.

And more news for Drac X Chronicles:

Release date seems to be on September 15, 2007.

Symphony of the Night seems to be the Sega Saturn version, meaning new areas, new items and a playable Maria.

the Saturn version? O_O

maaaan Im telling ya, if they put some extra effort, they would use the PSX SOTN as the foundation and include the Saturn playable/extras with PSX version's visual and technical quality.

but yeah this certainly a glorious surprise they are doing for CV fans and the gaming industry!

Thank you IGA and Konami! ^_^

There's some interview with iga, that says that the sotn will not be saturn. It won't be a straight psx port either, rather a new version based on psx with stuff that iga wanted to add originally but couldn't due to not enough time.

Can we say Maria, 5th ending and such? And hopefully the two areas they added to the saturn will not be included/be remade completely. They were both ugly (especially the garden which reused most of its graphics from other areas) and had some of the stupidest looking enemies in the game.

It's a good handheld, but I don't feel like dishing out $200+ for a handheld. That DS, $130, that's a different story.

In the SOTN aspect I feel cheated,

Im gonna get SOTN for Xbox Live arcade and while I want playable Maria I'm 99.9% sure it's a straight PSX port and that's all.

so this means the PSP Sotn IS MORE THAN LIKELY GET playable Maria + who knows what other extras. so the XBLA SOTN will feel somewhat incomplete, unless they provide the new stuff through DLC we can purchase and download.

maaan Im hardcore enough to pay an extra 1600 MS for downloadable content that adds playable Maria in the X360 SOTN ^_^

come on Konami! you can do it! well do you wanna do it?

all we fans can do is beg.

cause

1. Three playable characters is better than two

2. I dont like handhelds, these games are always more satisfying on a console + large TV.

3. Maria deserves to be playable in both SOTNs released this year. She can fight, she has her own playstyle and to me it would truly complete SOTN, even without the extra areas/familiars.

Wasn't the stuff in the SS version stuff they wanted in but didn't have time to put it? o.o

PoR said it's the SS version, although she could be partly wrong and it being like what Serio said, PS version with new and extra stuff. Which is why I put 'it seems' in the update, in case the news is false. :P

Although I already have a PSP, I don't think it's worth buying one mainly for this game compared to the PSP's price. I bought a DS mainly for DoS, but later found out how awesome the list of DS games are.

yeah itll be good to get Rondo when it comes out, as for the PSP its best to wait for a price drop.

but aaaaah that's wild, they are adding new stuff to the PSP version of SOTN. Playable Maria is a no-brainer to include.

but does this mean they will ignore the XBLA version of SOTN and not include anything new? not even future Downloadable content?

I hate the SoTN which is along the Dracula X chronicles because alucard's voice turns gay and the spells are hard to execute (due to the freakin PSP D-PAD).

Yuri Lowenthal did an awesome job as Alucard imo. fit way better than the black guy on PS1.

as for your d pad, mod it or get a Slim. or use the analog nub.

Are you insane? Alucard voice in the Dracula's X Chronicles SoTN is in extreme gay; i'd use to love Alucard voice in the original SoTN, it was awesome.

I heard this version was the one from Xbox Live Arcade and it includes Maria as a playable character; i hope i can finish the game due to this week.
