Finally a completely new glitch tech that has raised up the maximum percentage for the US version of SotN. I call it Mist-Up. Basically, all you do is gather experience points until you are 1 away from getting a level-up then get onto a ceiling with enemies in the rooms, turn to mist and summon the sword familiar to kill the enemy. Getting the level-up while in mist form will give you a glitch room!!

It's been a while since the last break-through tech in SotN. Heck, it's been almost 2 years since we got any new rooms, but this is the big one! 43 ceiling rooms that we didn't have before! The map is almost completely surrounded by white rooms now. There's just one problem: Many of you will not be able to do this new glitch with your current glitch files--and probably none of you will be able to get all 43 rooms with any of your files...I know this sounds crazy, but the only way to get all 43 rooms is to be at level 56 or lower!!

Since gaining levels after level 65 is extremely time consuming, I recommend starting a low-kill game. It doesn't have to be 1-beat or even 3-beat. I recommend using a level 16 game and its very simple, you can get bat, mist, 2 HRs and a duplicator at level 16 without any crazy glitches. Just start with 1 HR; make your way to Slogra & Gaibon without killing anything--then kill them, and Doppleganger 10, werewolf, minotaur, and lesser demon; without killing enemies on the way to each boss. Then you can do the Halfblood tech on hippogryph and the wolf-run richter-skip glitch (both easy) to get to the Inverted castle. Halfblood Medusa (med. difficulty) and make your way to the the 2nd HR--done!!
It took me a little over 35 hours to get all the rooms.

Pale-Dim did a lot of testing of this glitch for me and here's his advice:

1- You need to start a new game with low levels. Once you have a 200.6% game with low levels then make a seperate copy of it in case we need it in the future. I suggest a file with no inf s4r you should save also.

2- If you are not doing inf s4r 1 map flip game then do remember that you will have extra rooms to open with this tech that s4r was able to open. I believe I opened 8 more with this tech on my personal file.

3- Some rooms you may need to drag enemies with you in order to get them into the proper screen. be sure to use regular mist until you are ready to kill them poison may kill them too soon. if you are mist and need to switch to poison mist you need to turn on the relic gas cloud then go from mist to bat to mist again since it wont override your current mist.

4- The current max go as such
4008 Rooms 425.4% with inf s4r
425.4% map:

One question since I never glitched SotN before. This level up glitch for extra percentage can be done WITHOUT any of the other percentage glitches right? As in from 200.6%, you can do this glitch and end it there if you want without any of the older percentage glitches.

Yeah, yu can go straight from 200.6% to the mist up, though you will have gotten a room or 2 getting on the cieling. Again, grats to whoever found Mist up, I wish I was there.

Yeah, I found Mist-Up...just watch the video to see the date and credit to me for "making glitching history" --I would never be that big-headed when talking about myself--Pale-Dim made the video for me, since I've lost my video making ability.

Persona, I would actually answer your question a little bit differently than Necrosnake. You have to use a few different glitches to actually get onto the ceiling. Some may open glitch rooms in the process, but there are very few places like that. I can only think of the RC clock-tower ceiling room with the sword lords. When you say "percentage glitches", it's hard to answer, because most percentage glitches are a 2-step process:
1. get under the floor/onto the ceiling.
2. use HR or something else to obtain the glitch room.

Mist-up takes the place of Heart Refreshing in step 2, but you will still need to know a few old glitches to do step 1. But it can be done at 200.6% or any percentage.

Basically, all you need to do Mist-Up is:
1. the sword familiar
2. duplicator
3. 2 heart refreshes
4. form & power of mist--the gas cloud relic is optional.
5. Soul of bat is not needed, but saves a lot of MP versus mist, while on a ceiling. Waiting for a low level sword familiar to kill something for you can take a while, so it's best to stay in bat form until right before the kill is made.

Hmm so glitch for getting into the floor or onto the ceiling is the host for many different glitches after it right?

Yes, the actual glitch is what gets you outside the normal game area; and then in most cases you just use a Heart Refresh or multiple HRs to make a white room appear on the map. But since you can't stand on ceilings (you just fall through instantly) and you can't use HRs in bat/mist form; the big obstacle was to find a way to add rooms to the map on the many ceilings in the game that alucard can't stand on.

Hmm, it's a nice trick, I'm surprised it was successful.
However, I don't think that doing inf S4R in the game is a good idea. In my opinion, it should be banned.

Well, it can't be banned. It's everyone's personal choice to use it or not.

We don't use infinite S4R when talking about maximum percentage, we use S4R to shift each bell-tower for 1 complete lap around the map, then when we are back at our starting point, we stop. That is our self imposed limitation.

Here is a pic with Infinite S4R used:
Image--every time you cross the map, you go 1 room lower on the map.

And one with 1 complete lap of the 2nd belltower:
Image

Notice how the rooms on the left side of the map are lower than the right?
That is why we stop after 1 lap--because after many many laps (infinite?) the map would be all white...and that's no fun.

Haha, that's only my opinion. But do it like to do infinite 2HR, do you think so?

You can use sword brother glitch in save room, be careful, it's a vicious glitch. Or use a funny trick, use library card to make screen white, then press select button.

Yes, the infinite S4R is the same as infinite DHR, but with our new max. percentage (425.4%) it is very far from infinite--it is not a full white map. It is only 1 full crossing of the map.

To make a full white map would take more than many many crossings. Also with infinite 2 HRs, Alucard can not stand in the white part of the map--he is never actually in the white part of the map....with S4R you are shifting the map, so Alucard is bringing the whole chapel with him as he goes around the map.

In other words: You could be between the Library and Olrox Chamber, in a white map room; but your screen will show Alucard standing in the chapel....have you tried it??? Here is a guide:

It just gives you a very high percentage, and high Def. with walk armor.

Yes, I have, I know the properties of S4R.
