Getting to lvl 99 the easy way.
Go to the Abyss and enter the room with the first Stolas in the lower left part of the map. Get its attention, go hug the far right wall of the room and equip the following:

Chaos Ring
-
Barbariccia
Mothman
Face right and activate Barbariccia. Now wrap a rubber band around your DS so it holds down the R button (default Guardian Soul button). If done correctly, the endlessly spawning enemies will keep flying into your transformed invincible body, killing themselves in the process for some nice EXP. Make sure the DS doesn't run out of power and go do something else. It shouldn't take more than a few hours.
