DISCOVERED BY PALE-DIM
While using Maria and fighting Darkwing Bat, it's possible to get out of the room without killing it. When Darkwing Bat does its wind move, purposely jump into it and try to make it slam you into the top corner of the room (sometimes if you fly to the ceiling, you'll notice you're almost going through the ceiling). If it doesn't work, repeat jumping into the same wind move to increase the chance. When done correctly, you'll fly out of the room. Also note that sometimes you might get stuck.
Other people have also said it works on other bosses with moves that slam you against the wall (Doppleganger's wingsmash comes to mind).
